Frequently Asked Questions?

How Do I Use My Puls Medicum Stethoscope?

Inspect the Stethoscope Before Use

Ensure all components — chestpiece, tubing, and eartips — are clean and securely attached.

  • Adjust the Headset

Gently angle the eartips forward (toward your nose) for a comfortable, acoustic-tight fit.
  • Select the Correct Side

The dual-head chestpiece allows you to switch between the diaphragm (for high-frequency sounds) and the bell (for low-frequency sounds). Rotate the chestpiece until you hear a soft click to confirm selection.
  • Position the Diaphragm

Place the diaphragm flat against the patient's skin to ensure full contact and optimal sound transmission.
  • Listen with Precision

Use light pressure to capture low-pitched sounds (like heart murmurs) and firm pressure for high-pitched sounds (like breath sounds).
  • Clean After Each Use

Wipe the diaphragm and tubing with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Avoid immersing in liquids or exposing to extreme temperatures.

• Store Properly

Keep your stethoscope in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain tubing flexibility and acoustic integrity.
